Bizarre events happen regularly in miHoYo’s action RPG Genshin impact as players explore the vast open landscapes of Inazuma, Mondstadt, Natlan, and more. A Genshin impact player has discovered a strange detail about Sangonomiya Kokomi that allows the hydro character to uniquely ‘climb’ a mountain.
Reddit user Crafty-Enthusiasm-43 recently posted a Genshin impact clip where they explore what appears to be Inazuma based on a glimpse of the geography. commissioned by Genshin impact To reach Inazuma, players must complete enough in-game challenges to reach Adventure Level 30 or above so that they can complete “The Immortal God and the Eternal Euthymia”. Genshin impact‘s Inazuma is an area full of mysteries to uncover, including the endless lightning’s ability to light wet torches in the area and the incessant rain that quickly dissipates upon entering the nearby city.
Crafty-Enthusiasm-43’s Genshin impact video begins with Kokomi visually glitching in a manner where the hydro character kneels with their heads forward, taking small steps. Somehow Crafty-Enthusiasm-43 can make Kokomi climb a mountain unlike any other Genshin impact players who have climbed great heights, taking advantage of this interesting glitch that sees the character repeatedly clipping into the structure as she stands up. The Genshin impact video has Kokomi’s face almost completely in the mountain while climbing, but it ends before Crafty-Enthusiasm-43 can reach the top, which may indicate that the character was limited to going too far.
Several mountains dot the Genshin impact map and players can climb them to observe the surrounding landscape without using maneuvers like those used in the Crafty-Enthusiasm-43 video. There are Genshin impact collectibles called electroculus that can be found all over the Inazuma map, and some are located on top of such mountains, suggesting that miHoYo plans for players to climb some of the massive obstacles. Although it is likely that Genshin impactKokomi’s is not intended to climb mountains as she does in Crafty-Enthusiasm-43’s video, it is currently unclear if the mountain can be crossed using alternative methods.
Since posting their Genshin impact clip, Crafty-Enthusiasm-43 has reached more than 9,000 fans who label Kokomi’s actions almost entirely as “griddy”. Some Genshin impact players took the opportunity to mention another past glitch that led to Kokomi swimming through the air and walking on the water, while there may be more glitches that remain undiscovered. A Genshin impact fan noticed a similarity between Crafty-Enthusiasm-43’s Genshin impact video and a mythological story from China where a carp turns into a dragon, a story referenced in the past with things like pokemon‘s Magikarp.
Genshin impact is now available for mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
